Adventure Sports in Florida will take you on a rollicking, adrenaline-charged ride across Florida. More than a guidebook, this is a lively chronicle of the author's adventures as he skydives, races stock cars and sports cars, flies a hot-air balloon, dives in Florida's prehistoric underwater caves, soars on rising thermals in a sailplane, blasts down the quarter-mile at the home of the Gatornationals in a 600-hp dragster, and pulls a six-G loop while dogfighting in the skies over central Florida.
Although this book has been out of print for a few years, and much of the information on the schools is dated, it's still a great read and some of my best writing on high-adrenaline fun.

Florida Then & Now won the 2007 Florida Book Awards Silver Medal for Non-Fiction. An autographed copy sits in the display case right outside the Florida Governor's office.
Author/photographer Bruce Hunt searched out the original locations of, and re-shot, 130 historic Florida photographs spanning a hundred years from the 1870s to the 1970s, and chronicled the histories of those places, as well as the stories behind some of Florida's pioneers.
